Local Mission Makes a World Difference !

The Radical Project: A Revolutionary Latin American Model for Mission Mobilization

In 1999 Missão Horizontes, a Latin American mission organization headquartered in Brazil, sent 96 missionaries to several destinations in the 10/40 window as part of a revolutionary mobilization initiative called “The Radical Project”. “Radical Project 2” is in currently in training and will arrive on the field in 2004.

Missão Horizontes began in 1990, after David Botelho, a Brazilian pastor and former missionary to Bolivia, connected with World Horizons, a Welsh based international mission organization. As a result of that contact Botelho developed his vision to mobilize Latin Americans from a distinctively Latin organization. And so Missão Horizontes Horizontes was created under the broad umbrella of World Horizons. The Radical Project has become one of the fruits of this vision.
